How to use the browser extension
The RabbitWork - Project Time Tracking extension puts the Rabbiit timer in the browser. The popup is the same on any site: you describe the work, pick a project and a task, watch the time, and save — without opening the app.
Hours land in the same account, timesheet, and reports.
Install
- Open RabbitWork - Project Time Tracking on the Chrome Web Store.
- Add the extension to Chrome.
- Pin the icon to the toolbar so the popup opens in one click.
Sign in and authorize
- Click the extension icon.
- The Rabbiit site opens so you can sign in, if you are not already.
- On the authorization screen, check the account name and allow access. That screen follows your profile language.
The extension uses the account you authorized. Hours go to that account.
Use the timer in the popup
Extension popup with the timer running
The popup works on any tab. You do not need to be on Trello or in Rabbiit.
- Click the extension icon.
- Write what you are doing.
- Choose the Project. Task can stay No task when the project does not require one.
- The timer shows in green at the top of the popup while it runs.
- When you finish, click Stop and save.
Recent entries lists what you logged today, with the project and the description, without opening the app.
The entry also shows up in How to log hours (manual or timer). To see the week, use the weekly and daily timesheet.
Sign out
Right-click the extension icon and choose Options. The page opens in a Chrome tab.
Sign out of the extension
Sign out ends this extension's session in this browser. Hours already saved stay on the account. To log time again, authorize once more.
Reminders and the automatic stopwatch are in Time-entry reminders via the extension and How to start and stop the timer automatically via the extension.
On a Trello board
On Trello, the extension also shows play and time on each card. That is the only board with this integration ready. The steps are in How to use the extension on Trello.
