How to see only my hours in reports

The team report shows a consolidated view of many people. A member does not need to “hide the others” with a secret filter: what enters the report is what your user permissions allow. On the regular user profile, that is only your hours.

This article is for whoever logs their own hours and wants the period total (month, client, project). Whoever reads the team consolidation is in click hours in reports.

💡 You do not flip a “only me” switch. Whoever administers the account defines the profile. To see what applies to your user, open Permissions and assignments — the path is below.

Where to find it

Detailed report filtersDetailed report filters Reports, then what you need:

  • Detailed — each entry (date, project, task, description, total).
  • Weekly — the week grid.
  • Summary by groups — totals by project, task, or another grouping.

The Timesheet remains the day-to-day grid. The report answers “how much was in the period”; it does not replace logging the hour.

How to look at only your hours

  1. Open Reports and choose Detailed (or Weekly / Summary, if you want the consolidation).
  2. Filter the period (week, month, range).
  3. If you want, filter project, client, or task. That cuts your hours — it does not open other people’s.
  4. The user filter, if it appears, lists what your profile can see. As a member, that is you.

Do not look for a “hide the team” mode. The cut already came with the profile the account defined.

What your permissions allow

Profile menu (top-right corner) → Profile and preferences → in the left menu, Permissions and assignments.

There is the summary of your user: the profile, what it can do, and the manager. That is the page to review access — including whether reports stay on your hours only.

Timesheet or report?

  • Timesheet (Week / Day) — log, find gaps, and submit the week.
  • Report — add up what was already logged in the period, export, or check a project.

Both respect the same permission cut. Use the report when the question is “how much was in August on this client?”, not “was Tuesday missing?”.

When to use it

Use at month close, to check a client, or to pull the detail behind one of your totals.

Do not use the report as a time-entry screen. Log on the project or on the Timesheet.
