Main reports

Reports answer “how much time was it” and “on what”. The Reports menu (top bar) separates what you use at close from a shortcut to a ready-made slice.

The two that most often cover day-to-day work are the detailed report (each time entry) and the dynamic summary (totals grouped your way). Team load — free, over, a day with no log — is the people capacity dashboard (Users menu). The rest are slice variations: by day, by project, by person, by team.

💡 What each person sees in reports follows user permissions. A regular member sees their own hours; managers and administrators see the slice the account opened for them.

Detailed reportDetailed report In the Reports menu, the Featured reports block:

  • Detailed — one record per row: date, person, project, task, description, billable, billed. It is the list for reviewing, exporting, and marking billed.
  • Customizable summary — in the app the screen title is Summary report. Here we call it the dynamic summary: layered grouping, calculated columns, and charts. It replaces the pivot spreadsheet finance used to build outside Rabbiit.
  • Daily — totals by day (and, if the account uses it, hour variance on the day). Good for finding a broken day without opening each time entry.

The people capacity dashboard is not in this menu: it lives under Users. It is the person × period grid, with an audit of who missed logging, who went over the cap, and who logged on a day with no load.

More reports

Below, More reports — ready-made slices, without the freedom of the dynamic summary:

  • Summary by projects — hours (and, if enabled, amounts) by project.
  • Summary by users — by person (visible to anyone with permission to see the team).
  • Users × Projects — person versus project grid.
  • Summary by teams — totals by team.

Use these when the slice is already what you need. If the question changes every week (“by client and then by task”), go to the dynamic summary.

The same filter, three outputs

Detailed and dynamic summary share the left filters column (period, project, client, person, description, billed, custom fields). The difference is the output: list or consolidated view.

On several totals you can click the hours and open the time entries behind that number.

Export

  • PDF — layout ready for a client or the board (account logo and header).
  • Excel and CSV — a spreadsheet to work with or send to another system.

Currency, time zone, and hour format come from General settings and Profile and preferences. The detail is in the export articles.
